Okay, that isn't true.

I spent a few years here, all of high school, doing what I could, slaving away at a keyboard to try to accomplish... something. Leave some mark on this place, so I could point at it and say, 'Look. I did that. I made something that other people enjoyed.' But then I got out of high school, and stopped being such a little emo fuckwit, and really, honestly, stopped caring about dA.

After 2004 or so, I still wrote every now and then, but not nearly as often as I used to. It only seemed to happen when something 'meaningful' or 'important' was going on in my life, and I needed to vent.

We can take one of two things away from this:
a) Less 'important' things have happened to me since 2004 or so, or
b) I find things that have happened to me since 2004 or so less important.

The former is obviously a fallacy. Since the last time I did anything on here, I have fallen in love, moved across the country, fallen back out of it, worked overnights for months at a time, sold cell phones, moved across the country again, and become a small business owner.

The latter is more likely to be true, though I am still quite the little emo fuckwit. Maybe less so than in high school, but I blame less Dashboard Confessional and Further Seems Forever and more Nine Inch Nails and Coheed and Cambria for this.

Regardless.

I want to write about things again. I want to make some kind of meaningful dialogue with a text editor that doesn't enforce colons and whitespace. (Python joke there.)

I've gotten bored; someone come break my heart.
